Cromford Canal

The northern stretch of the canal lies within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site and is a lovely walk. Also, because of the rich diversity of wildlife, the canal is designated as a site of special scientific interest.
With five miles to explore between Cromford and Ambergate. Along the towpath there are many interesting spots for photography that I hope to capture as the year progresses.
Just one interesting fact, the valley where the canal runs is one of the only places in England that you have the four methods of transport running side by side, the A6 road, the River Derwent, the Derby rail lines and of course the Canal.
